One hundred & twenty-nine

This was a night out for the local art night. I had dressed up in my new boots and old skirt. When I got home I took some shots. This turned out how I wanted it to, except for the focus. I could not get it in focus for anything. I gave up and this was the best I could do. I like how my legs look in this shot, better than I think they look anyway. The quote was chosen because that skirt was a thrift find and the boots were on sale from $50 to $10! A great find!

“Buying something on sale is a very special feeling.  In fact, the less I pay for something, the more it is worth to me.  I have a dress that I paid so little for that I am afraid to wear it.  I could spill something on it, and then how would I replace it for that amount of money?”  ~Rita Rudner

One hundred & twenty-six

This is one of my favorite shirts. I love the color and the simple pattern that only goes down the one side. Obviously I was wearing it this day and decided it was of good enough interest to photograph. Clothes don’t last forever, before you know it your favorite piece of clothing has disintegrated. Sometimes it’s nice to come across an old photo of yourself in something you no longer have. Now I’ll have this one forever.

One hundred & twelve & thirteen

Both of these photographs were inspired by just looking down. One day I was wearing this necklace, it’s a heathergem. I bought it at a celtic fest a few years back. It is made with old, dried up heather stems. They dye them, compress them, slice it up, polish them and add them to jewelry settings. They are fantastic! Check it out! The next day I was wearing that shirt. My Mom sent it to me and it’s one of my new favs. I don’t get to wear shirts with buttons very often; having a large bosom can be a hinderance too. However, I can wear this shirt, I enjoy the buttons and the color. Overall I am pleased with these two shots. They are simple and elegant.

Ninety-four

I have always worn and enjoyed crazy socks. My Christmas day shot with my red and green knee highs got some attention and it was requested that more be taken of other weird socks I own. I was wearing these taking photos of something else and decided to get a shot of the socks. This is a strange angle and I don’t like the floor, but oh well. It’s a fun shot.
