Two hundred and forty eight

Like I was saying I worked in an Elementary school this past school year. For Thanksgiving we had a feast in our room and we all dressed like pilgrims and Indians. I got stuck with being a pilgrim. We made little hats and bibs out of paper and string. We lovingly referred to the bibs as “hinny bibs” due to their close resemblance in shape to a rear end. It was fun, if not somewhat embarrassing, anything for the kids. Just took this one with the crappy cell phone. It’s a bad shot, but captures a fun time.

I keep getting futher and further behind on my blogs. I am now on about 109 of my photos and only 73 of my blogs. Ack! I’m starting to forget why I did them. This one was taken from our family Christmas photo (see below). I had been really enjoying the look of the double mirrored image, hence why it showed up again here. It was still Christmas time, obviously, so I went with the red and green combo. One side is negative, one poistive. I don’t really like this one. It was the best I could come up with at the time.

Family X-mas card photo, I make my own every year.

When we were at the Silo Christmas Tree Farm getting our tree, we also checked out their gift shop containing locally made goodies. My in-laws bought this hat and scarf for my son. I thought it would be fun to do a little fashion shoot with them. Fashion photography is not my thing, really fashion is not my thing. I’m a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal. Sometimes it’s nice to step out of your element and try something new. I like the way this turned out. Using my external flash always yields nice shots.

H A L L O W E E N!!! I’ve been dressing up as what I call “the candy witch” since about 2006. I have a spider theme which all started in high school and is why I call the business end of making art Wido Photo & Art. I use this spider theme on Halloween too, necklaces, earrings, clothes, makeup. Every year I take the candy with us and hand it out to trick-or-treaters as we take our kids around, hence “the candy witch.” I am revolutionizing the art. Why not? Otherwise you can’t hand it out if you’re not home and it’s no fun to leave it on the porch. Every parent says, “Why didn’t I think of that?” I don’t know, why haven’t people thought of this before? Anyway here I am all witched up and ready to head out. I heart Halloween!
