Both of these photos have the commonality of children. I love 295! My daughter was home sick and we were snuggled up on the couch. I love her little arms and hands laying on the blanket and my hand gently touching her wrist. She is three now and even though she can drive me absolutely bonkers at times, I love her so. 296 was taken at my son’s birthday party at the skating rink that I spent just about every Friday and Saturday night in, between the ages of 12 and 14. Memories can take you back to childhood so easily. That photo sucks, but it is more about the experience than anything. (A side note, my kid is the blonde one in the tie-dye shirt, cut off on the right hand side.)

All of these photos were taken with my iPhone and manipulated with apps. 274: I was in my pjs, chilling on the couch, probably bored to tears and I think not feeling great. It’s an ok shot, has a decent composition. 275: I was trying to focus on the necklace, but didn’t turn out so great. 276: Enjoying a brewski while watching my husband and friend play some guitar together. 277 & 278: taken at the same time. I enjoy both of these shots. I like the black and white, and my expressive poses.

Both of these photos are associated with Christmas. 267 was taken on an escalator in the mall while Christmas shopping. When my husband and I were in high school, yes we are high school sweethearts, we would go there just to ride the escalator up and down. Those were good times when something simple could be entertaining. I was remembering those moments when I took that photo. 268 was taken at work. I was working at an Elementary school and it was pajama day. I wore my slippers and Christmas socks. Loved that job!

Two hundred and sixteen

This day I took my kids to one of my favorite places in the world. A lovely park in Enon, Virginia that recently was renamed, but the new name means nothing to me because it will always be Point of Rocks Park. I have been going there since I was seven. It was very close to all the houses I lived in through most of my life. I have good memory after good memory of it. It is even where my husband proposed to me under a moonlit sky. This was a hot summer day, but we packed some water bottles and headed out for a hike through the trails and marsh walk. It was a lovely day and my not quite 2 year old daughter did really great. She kept up with us even though her little legs got tired and I had to carry her some. This is us sitting on an overlook toward the end of the hike. Love my family, and love this day.
