Instagram a Day: Day 6

2015/01/img_0072.jpg

A very wet, rainy December day. It is magic what water can do to objects. How it can transform them from something mundane to something much more interesting. Water droplets in particular can make the world look so different, if you look through them. ūüėČ I really love this photo. I think it is one of my best from this project so far.

One hundred and sixty-six

We had some rain! I took my camera outside to take some photos of the world as it was covered in a layer of water. I thought it would be neat to take a photo¬†of my reflection in¬†a puddle. It was much harder than¬†I thought it would be. The sun had to be in just the right direction and angle to even get a¬†reflection. This is not how I envisioned the photograph, but that fact that¬†I got anything at all isn’t too bad. I do enjoy the rocks, grass, etc… that are in¬†focus underneath the water.

Another neat photo I took this day.

One-hundred & one

In typical Texas winter fashion right after we had a nice,¬†warm, sunny day¬†we had a cold, rainy day. I think it was trash day too, of course. I had come back inside; wet and cold. I was trying to take a good shot of my feet as I slid my boots off, it didn’t happen. However, I did get this interesting shot of my feet against my boots. Not my best work, but it’s ok.

I had just gotten out of the shower, my hair was soaking wet. I thought I would try a horror-ish approach. Afterwards it¬†reminded me of¬†the movie¬†“The Ring.” I enjoy horror movies. Once again not my best shot, but it’s creepy and cool. I like the stark contrastsy¬†black and white. This could have been a shot for my Halloween series.
